Does the Simple Sale System really work
Is Simple Sale Blueprint worth it?
Is starting my business with the Simple Sale System a good idea?
My quick answer is yes. Let me explain why...

I was lost and overwhelmed by starting my photography business and the Simple Sale Blueprint was the answer to my torment, yes, really!
Pricing as a photographer, knowing what to include and what not to include in my family documentary shoots. Deciding whether to sell in person or all-inclusive...

I started my photography business in early 2018. Then I got pregnant and take photos made me nauseous (no idea why!) so I stopped. I resumed after my maternity leave in... February 2020. I'll let you imagine how it went! Since we were in lockdown and I couldn't photograph clients, I started to structure my photography business.
From the beginning, I didn't want to be all-inclusive. I wanted to sell printed photo products, but I also didn't want do in-person sale. I had a hybrid in mind with prints included, but I was having a hard time organizing it all .
Especially since all the informations I could find were related to All-inclusive or In-person sale.
These seemed to be the only options and they didn't suit me.
I was discouraged.
Talking to a photographer friend of mine, she directed me to the Simple Sale System, the perfect hybrid between all-inclusive and in-person sale.
The first time I dismissed it because the Simple Sale Blueprint was far too expensive! I didn't have any customers yet! I couldn't afford it! But I started listening to the This Can't be That Hard Podcast and all the information shared was so useful, that I started to appreciate Annemie Tonken's way of teaching.
So I watched the Masterclass that explained how the System works... and I was convinced!
It was THE answer to what I was looking for, only better! The perfect hybrid between all-inclusive and in-person sales.
Plus, with the Simple Sale Blueprint, everything was done for me and when you start a photography business, there is so much to decide, build, design, think about, that to have part of the structure of my photography business already done was more than I could have hope for!
My favourite elements of the Simple Sale Blueprint

How much to charge as a photographer? It's easy to get a bit of an impostor syndrome when we charge more than most established photographers in our area. Even more so when you are just starting out as a photographer. I used to have that impostor feeling too. But I soon realized that most established photographers (with some exceptions of course) don't know much about their numbers and often charge too little for their photography services without even realizing it.
Here it's all calculated for us! Ok, like most I was shocked when I saw the amount! I thought I would never be able to charge that (time would proved me wrong, it's coming)! But the price was there in front of me... I knew that if I wanted to be profitable and have the business I wanted and offer the service I wanted to my clients, this was the amount I had to charge.
Having that price for my photography business in front of me gave me the confidence to be able to put my prices at that level, whereas before I was calculating a bit in the butter, even if I calculated my price of doing business, it was still imprecise and uncertain and I didn't have the confidence to charge it.
Now I have it! It created a mindset change for me, I could justify this price to myself so it became really easy to tell my price to others. How to make more money as a photographer without burning out? The answer was there: to be able to make more money per session so that I could offer the service I wanted to my clients while being profitable in my photography business to last in the long run.
E-mails, sales page, phone discussion, questionnaire. All the elements to build the system are there, you just have to customise them. I had to translate the whole thing because I operate in two languages in my business, but at least the English version was ready-made. Not only was it better English than I would have done myself, a bonus in my case, but it cut down on a lot of work! And since it was material that had worked for others, it took the guesswork and trial-and-error part of the process out of the equation and saved time!
And if you need French translations, let me know.
Te contente you wont get? The contract template (for legal reasons) and client guide (because it's really peronale to your business). But you fill find plenty of help in the Facebook group on those subject.
Have you already bought courses but not finished them? We all do that!
Annemie's teaching style is clear and structured. She makes us set a launch date for our new photo pricing structure right from the start. There are several small sections, so it's easy to do them one step at a time. I did it in the maximum time she suggests (4 weeks), because I was working 3 days a week in my other job and had 3 kids at home because of the pandemic. But if you can do it full time, the fastest way to look at everything and implement it is 3 days!
All the steps from the first contact to the delivery of the products, including the way the photos are presented are shared, so we can easily implement it in our photography business without complicating our lives. It makes it quicker and simpler to set things up and when you're just starting out, that's a real advantage.
Team support: If you have questions or things are not clear or don't seem to be working, Annemie's team offers very helpful email support to help you get over the application hurdles of the course if you have any.
The Facebook group: At your fingertips Annemie, her team and all the others who bought the course and have now been using it for several years. It helps to make sure we implement it properly and also to get ideas on how to adapt it to our photo business.
How do you decide which products to offer your customers and how to price them? I found it really stressful and I was getting lost. The course includes a ready-made structure for choosing and pricing photo printed products, so that it encourages sales and meets the different needs of customers, while being manageable and not creating a "too much choice is like not enough" effect for both us and our customers.
With the Simple Sale Blueprint, if you apply it exactly as Annemie teaches, it becomes almost as easy to sell photo prints as it is to have an all-inclusive photo business model.

Is it more difficult to find customers when you start with a higher price?
If I'm 100% honest I would say that it mostly takes longer and that's why it's important to ask yourself if you're in it for the long haul or not. If you just want to do photography for a year or two, it's not worth the investment.
But if you want to make a career out of it, still be doing it in 5, 10, 15 years, it's worth having a photography business structure that works well and is profitable, even if it means a few more months before you have a full calendar.

My results with the Simple Sale Blueprint
Will I make more money with the Simple Sale System?
THIS is probably the main question.
Since I practically started my photography business with the Simple Sale System, I can't offer a long-term comparison with my previous prices.
However I can tell you that my prices, before doing the Simple Sale Blueprint were 570$ for a 1:30 session, including all digital files and a photo album. This price was already in the high range here, all-inclusive sessions are $300-350 and often much less.
The first session I booked with the Simple Sale System was a short 30 minute session and I made over $750!
For a 30 minute photo session, 30 digital files, and they bought additional photo prints then the amount included in the higher package!
I couldn't believe it!

And the best news? They came back the next year for about the same amount! So even though I didn't use my previous model for very long, I can say that yes, the Simple Sale System will make you more money. This session was simply to do their Christmas card! How much do you usually make in your Christmas card mini-sessions? I would be surprised if it was $750.
Do you want other examples? In my first year of business after implementing the Simple Sale system, I had one family take a double session, maternity and newborn, which brought in over $1700 even though the family didn't choose my highest packages. The average for these combined sessions here is about $650.
I also did a session with grandparents who were visiting from abroad to meet one of their grandsons for the first time since the pandemic and they took my highest package and spent extra money on a photo album for the grandparents, photo prints and photo calendars. And because I use PicTime* I didn't have to touch the album or calendars, my clients did it all themselves! It saves so much time and energy!
In summary the Simple Sale Blueprint...
is for you if you
is not for you if you
